[Featured Stock] EcoPro BM Rebounds on Outlook of No Sales Impact from Factory Fire
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] While the KOSDAQ index has plunged below the 900-point mark, EcoPro BM is drawing attention by turning to an upward trend three days after the fire at its Ochang factory.
As of 10:12 AM on the 25th, EcoPro BM is trading at 405,200 KRW, up 1.20% compared to the previous trading day. Early in the session, it rose to 416,200 KRW, achieving a strong rebound, but the rise narrowed afterward due to the sharp decline in the KOSDAQ index.
EcoPro BM experienced a sharp drop of over 4% on the 21st and a further 7% plunge on the 24th following the news of the fire at the Ochang factory on the afternoon of the 21st.

On the same day, Samsung Securities forecasted that the sales impact from the Ochang factory fire would be limited for EcoPro BM. They maintained a 'Buy' rating and a target price of 480,000 KRW. Earlier, Kiwoom Securities also analyzed that the damage to the production line due to the Ochang factory fire would be limited and expected no disruption in the supply of cathode materials for EVs.
