CU, Premium Ice Cream 'Popular'... Sales Up 21% Despite Cold Wave

According to CU, while sales growth of regular ice cream last year was limited to 8.0%, sales of premium ice cream recorded 24.7%. This month, premium ice cream sales grew by 20.9% compared to the same period last month. This is analyzed to be due to reduced outdoor activities recently, more people enjoying cool snacks indoors, and the expansion of the home dessert trend.
The premium ice cream "U-yu Chang-go Parfait," launched on the 5th in collaboration with the organic milk brand U-yu Chang-go, gained word of mouth and ranked 5th in sales among about 100 types of ice cream shortly after its release. On the 25th, three premium ice cream products emphasizing raw material content?21% Double Rich Milk Pint, Butter Bar, and Super Matcha Pint?will be sequentially released.
