"I Am a Murderer... Son's Tearful Plea After Father Dies One Month Following Pfizer Vaccination"
Diagnosed with 'Guillain-Barr? Syndrome' After Receiving Vaccine
[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] A story has emerged about a father who was diagnosed with Guillain-Barr? syndrome and hospitalized less than a month after receiving his second dose of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, and then passed away.
On the 19th, a petition titled "My father's sudden death after vaccination, I am both the perpetrator and the murderer" was posted on the Blue House National Petition Board.
The father, Mr. A, who had a robust physique, received his first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in early June last year, and completed the second dose three weeks later. Afterwards, Mr. A was diagnosed with Guillain-Barr? syndrome and hospitalized, and died in less than a month.
Guillain-Barr? syndrome is a rare inflammatory disease that affects the peripheral nerves, commonly accompanied by rapidly progressing muscle weakness and sensory abnormalities in the limbs. Cases of Guillain-Barr? syndrome have been reported following prior infections or influenza vaccinations, and it is classified as one of the adverse reactions that require special attention in COVID-19 vaccinations.
The petitioner revealed, "My father was a national veteran who participated in the Vietnam War and practiced judo, so he had a strong physique, but after vaccination, he suffered from itching that kept him awake at night," adding, "My father lived in the provinces and I lived away, so I was unable to properly check the hives all over his body, which seems to have been the beginning of this misfortune."
He continued, "My father fell and had to undergo leg surgery. I took leave and went to my hometown, only to hear the shocking news that he was admitted to the emergency room with paralysis symptoms in his arms and legs," and said, "I saw my father barely able to hold up his neck in a wheelchair, but even then, I did not think of any connection to the vaccine."
Later, the petitioner said he was officially notified that there was "no causal relationship with the vaccine." He lamented, "A government official gave me a dry response, saying 'You cannot appeal, but if necessary, try to claim medical expenses. I don't know if that will work.' I felt that by only listening to the government and acting accordingly, I became both the perpetrator and the murderer."

He appealed, "Now that I have experienced it, I understand. The government did not take responsibility. Our family lost my father overnight, and what was a probability of one in several people was 100% for our family," adding, "All I want is to turn back time."
