Video Conference Held for Fire Commanders of 18 Regional Offices in the Province
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Kim Jo-il, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, ordered proactive preventive activities and strengthened safety management in preparation for the Lunar New Year holiday through a video conference with fire commanders from 18 fire stations in the province.
According to the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters on the 13th, the meeting was held in the headquarters' video strategy conference room, attended by department and team leaders as well as fire station chiefs in charge.
Discussions were held on thorough safety management at logistics (refrigerated) warehouse construction sites, implementation of safety measures for the Lunar New Year holiday, and compliance with service management guidelines for firefighters responding to COVID-19.
Jeonnam Fire will conduct joint fire drills involving related parties concerning the fire at the Pyeongtaek construction site and strengthen a voluntary responsibility system centered on related parties, including prior notification and self-patrol during major works such as welding that can cause sparks.
From the 28th of this month to the 3rd of next month, special holiday vigilance duty will be carried out, and surprise inspections will be conducted at multi-use facilities (50 locations) and COVID-19 treatment facilities (377 locations).
