40s Man Arrested and Indicted for Killing Father After Argument
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A man in his 40s who killed his father with a weapon after an argument has been brought to trial while in custody.
The Criminal Division 2 of the Seoul Northern District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Bok-hyun) announced on the 12th that Mr. A, accused of parricide, has been indicted in custody.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing his father, Mr. B, multiple times with a weapon during an argument over money at Mr. B's home in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, around 2 a.m. on the 10th of last month, resulting in his death.

After the crime, Mr. A called 112 himself to surrender and was arrested on the spot by the responding police. It is reported that Mr. A, who lived in a rural area, came to Seoul where his father lived to discuss family matters. At the time of the crime, a male acquaintance living with his father was also present at the residence.
