Around 4 p.m. on the 11th, the exterior wall of a high-rise apartment under construction collapsed in Hwajeong-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju. The photo shows the scene of the accident.
HDC Hyundai Development Company is constructing the Hwajeong I-Park apartment complex in the area of 23-27 Hwajeong-dong, Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, where an accident occurred involving the collapse of an apartment exterior wall.
According to the Gwangju Fire Headquarters on the 11th, at around 3:46 PM, a report was received by the fire authorities that the exterior wall of the Hwajeong Hyundai I-Park construction site had collapsed.
During this incident, three people trapped in nearby containers were rescued, and one of the rescued individuals was reported to have been injured and transported to a hospital.
The collapsed structure fell onto vehicles parked on the ground, damaging about ten cars.
A representative from HDC Hyundai Development Company stated, "We are currently investigating the cause of the accident and are preparing various measures to manage the site recovery."

Hwajeong I-Park is a large complex consisting of seven buildings with 847 households (including 172 officetel units), ranging from four basement floors to 39 floors above ground, with move-in scheduled for November this year.
