Busan Office of Education Operates Advanced Program Linked with Vocational High School Hub Universities

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is operating the ‘Advanced Course Linked with Base Universities in the Vocational Education Innovation Zone’ for 42 vocational high school students at Pukyong National University and Gyeongnam Information University from the 10th to the 28th.
Busan Office of Education signed a business agreement on December 17 last year with Pukyong National University and Gyeongnam Information University to mutually support the operation of the Vocational Education Innovation Zone project and vocational education at specialized high schools and Meister high schools.
The Vocational Education Innovation Zone supports the establishment of a vocational education platform involving vocational high schools, local companies, and local universities to strengthen the capabilities of region-based vocational education and nurture talent in regional strategic industrial sectors.
This advanced course is conducted as in-person education at base universities in the Vocational Education Innovation Zone, which have excellent professors and educational environments, offering smart manufacturing and global tourism courses.
The ‘Smart Manufacturing Course’ is held at Pukyong National University for 17 vocational high school students and consists of six programs: vocational ethics, self-development, field trips, Smart Manufacturing I & II, and digital solutions.
The ‘Global Tourism Course’ is held at Gyeongnam Information University for 25 vocational high school students and consists of 11 programs: business manners and global etiquette, service language, image making, creativity and character leadership camp, hotel field trips and table manners, and special lectures.
