[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] President Moon Jae-in attended the joint funeral ceremony for the three firefighters who died in the Pyeongtaek construction site fire on the 8th and comforted the bereaved families. President Moon's attendance at the funeral was an unplanned decision.
It is known that President Moon decided to attend in person early that morning after receiving a report from Presidential Chief of Staff Yoo Young-min.
President Moon attended the joint funeral held at the Pyeongtaek Ichung Culture and Sports Center to honor the sacrificial spirit of the firefighters. The remains of the deceased are scheduled to be interred at the National Daejeon National Cemetery that afternoon.
On the 7th, President Moon had delivered a condolence message to the bereaved families through Chief of Staff Yoo.
