Experience the Fantastic View at 'Pohang Spacewalk', Korea's First Interactive Sculpture Installation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] The unique experiential sculpture 'Space Walk' installed in Pohang Hwanho Park has attracted over 110,000 visitors since its opening.
Space Walk captivates tourists with the breathtaking views of sunrise and sunset. Emerging as a new tourist attraction in Pohang known for its beautiful night scenery, it has recorded more than 110,000 visitors since its opening on November 19 last year.
The total length of Space Walk is 333m, with dimensions of 60m in width, 57m in depth, and 25m in height. This curved sculpture was constructed by POSCO over 2 years and 7 months and donated to the city of Pohang.
It is the work of German artists Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth. As the largest sculpture in Korea, it offers an artistic experience akin to floating through space.
Lee Kang-deok, mayor of Pohang, said, "I hope people experience Pohang by walking the unique landmark 'Space Walk,' which cannot be seen anywhere else in Korea."

Space Walk does not require a separate reservation. Admission is free, and children under 12 must be accompanied by a guardian.
