805 Confirmed Cases in Seoul by 6 PM... 170 Fewer Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji-hwan Park] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the number of new COVID-19 cases was provisionally counted at 805 from midnight to 6 p.m. on the 6th.
Compared to the same time frame, this is 170 fewer than the 975 cases on the 5th. It is also a decrease of 297 cases compared to 1,102 cases a week ago on December 30 of last year. The total number of cases for the entire day was 1,208 on the 5th and 1,670 on the 30th of last month.
The daily number of confirmed cases in Seoul has been gradually decreasing since reaching a record high of 3,165 cases on the 14th of last month, the first time exceeding 3,000 cases. Social distancing measures were strengthened on the 18th of last month, and the number dropped to the 1,000 range from the 25th, continuing the downward trend into this month.
