2526 COVID-19 Cases Nationwide by 6 PM...351 Fewer Than Yesterday
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Ji-hwan] As of 6 PM on the 6th, more than 2,500 new COVID-19 cases were reported nationwide.
According to the quarantine authorities and local governments including Seoul City, from midnight to 6 PM on this day, a total of 2,526 new COVID-19 cases were recorded across 17 cities and provinces nationwide. This is 351 fewer cases than the 2,877 cases recorded at the same time the previous day.
Compared to 3,303 cases recorded at the same time a week ago on the 30th of last month, this is 777 fewer cases. Compared to 4,334 cases two weeks ago on the 23rd of last month, it is a decrease of 1,808 cases.
Since there is still time until midnight when the tally closes, the number of new cases announced on the 7th is expected to increase further.
New cases were reported in all 17 cities and provinces on this day. There were 1,535 cases (60.8%) in the metropolitan area and 991 cases (39.2%) in non-metropolitan areas.
