The donation ceremony was attended by Inchang Yeo, CEO of Parnas Hotel, Yongju Park, Vice Chairman of the Seoul Community Chest of Korea, and others. This year, the donation campaign ended with a complete sell-out of the prepared 'I-Bear' within ten days of the fundraising start on December 10, achieving the highest amount ever raised (27.3 million KRW).
Since 2003, Parnas Hotel has annually displayed the 'Hope Christmas Tree' at the lobby entrance of the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and held charity fundraising events, donating all proceeds to neighbors in need. This year's Hope Christmas Tree was specially made with 160 newly introduced InterContinental Signature I-Bears to celebrate the first anniversary of the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas' reopening. Each teddy bear was attached with the logo of the sponsoring company or a 'Love Card' requested by the patron. The donations from this year's Hope Christmas Tree will be used entirely for low-income residents in Gangnam-gu as part of the 'Warm Winter Hope Ondol Project' organized by Gangnam-gu and Seoul Fruit of Love.

CEO Yeo said, "It is encouraging that the Hope Christmas Tree charity event raised the highest amount ever, even as many endure difficult times due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic," adding, "Although the hotel industry is also going through tough times, we will continue our various CSR activities such as meal support for low-income residents in Gangnam-gu, support projects for facilities for the disabled, and talent donations to welfare facilities, striving to fulfill our social responsibilities without pause."
