[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) held the 2022 New Year's Greeting Meeting online on the afternoon of the 5th to gather residents' opinions on the development plans for the new year and to encourage residents who have persevered together through the crisis.
The New Year's Greeting Meeting, held to welcome the Year of the Black Tiger, was conducted via live online broadcast to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to exchange New Year's greetings with more residents. The district explained this year's administrative operation plans and vision to enhance residents' understanding and trust in the district administration.
In particular, at the New Year's Greeting Meeting, residents representing seven fields including the elderly, youth, women, disabled, education, economy, and cooperative governance participated on-site, while residents organized into 16 groups by field joined online via the video conferencing platform Zoom, enabling interactive communication between on-site and online participants.
During the Residents' Hope Interview session, residents who have worked hard despite difficult times?including COVID-19 medical staff, youth festival planners, street cleaning participants, Happy Farm agricultural leaders, fashion sewing industry workers, local neighborhood reporters, and market merchants?comforted each other and delivered hopeful messages for the recovery of daily life.
Additionally, in the Dialogue with Residents session, residents shared their visions for Jungnang-gu in 2022 and exchanged New Year's greetings, expressing their wishes directly to the district office, with the mayor responding and engaging in conversation.
