Aju Group Holds 2022 Opening Ceremony via Metaverse
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] On the 3rd, Ajou Group held a New Year's kick-off ceremony in the metaverse with about 100 executives and employees.
Ajou Group switched the kick-off ceremony, which was previously held face-to-face at headquarters, to a non-face-to-face format using the metaverse, a key innovation theme, due to strengthened social distancing measures amid COVID-19.
At this kick-off ceremony, business sites with the best performance in 2021 and outstanding talents who shone throughout the year were awarded, and new executives of Ajou Group expected to make special achievements in 2022 were introduced. Participating executives and employees expressed their joy of receiving awards through avatars, posed, looked around at their colleagues, and exchanged New Year's greetings together using icons or gestures.
