Taking this opportunity, it is expected that candidate Yoon will completely overhaul and reorganize the election campaign committee. It is known that Kim Jong-in, the general election committee chairman, has not resigned, increasing the likelihood that the next election committee will be formed according to his intentions.
The floor leadership was the first to express their intention to resign. Kim Ki-hyun, the floor leader, held an emergency members' meeting that afternoon and stated, "We all must completely reform ourselves and resolve to start anew with humility and a low profile," announcing that he would step down from his position as floor leader and as co-chairman of the election committee.
Kim Do-eup, the policy committee chairman, and Choo Kyung-ho, the senior deputy floor leader, also expressed their intention to resign. Kim said at the meeting, "The People Power Party was ordered by the people to bring about a regime change, but due to internal issues, we are breaking the people's command," adding, "We have neither the authority nor the qualification to disobey the people's order for regime change." He further stated, "Whether president candidate, party leader, member of the National Assembly, or party member, everyone must follow and carry out the people's command for regime change," and added, "Now, it doesn't matter who is the election committee chairman or who is the head of the headquarters."
Following this, Shin Ji-ye, the senior vice-chairperson of the New Era Preparation Committee, who had clashed with party leader Lee Jun-seok from the early stages of recruitment, resigned. Shin announced this fact through her Facebook, saying, "The stronger resistance I faced after coming to support candidate Yoon Seok-yeol was from within the People Power Party," and "Even after officially welcoming the candidate and receiving an official title in the campaign, I was continuously urged to resign." She criticized Lee, stating, "Lee Jun-seok's mockery telling me 'Don't do useless things, just stay still' continued," revealing the accumulated resentment.
Kim Han-gil, chairman of the New Era Preparation Committee, also reportedly felt responsible and expressed his intention to resign to candidate Yoon the day before. Kim released a statement on the same day regarding Shin's resignation, calling it "a regrettable and unfortunate matter" and "an unfortunate result caused by the serious gender debate in our society."

However, it was again reported that Chairman Kim did not convey his intention to resign. Kim Byung-joon, the standing election committee chairman, reportedly agreed to the collective resignation as part of organizational reform.
People Power Party lawmakers also decided to resign from all party positions and serve as 'white soldiers' for presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol. Jeon Ju-hye, the floor spokesperson, said at a meeting with reporters after the members' meeting, "Each person will endure with the determination to hold the front line in their respective positions." She emphasized, "From now on, the flag of regime change will wave vigorously for change and unity."

Jeon added, "We agreed on the policy of changing everything except the candidate to unite all efforts solely for regime change with candidate Yoon, and that the candidate should have full authority to lead the party and the election committee," and apologized deeply to the public for the shameful appearances so far.
