Hong Jun-pyo Angry at Kim Jong-in's Criticism: "Arrogant, Blaming Others for His Own Incompetence"
"Stop looking for excuses in advance for losing and just do your job properly."
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Soyoung] Hong Joon-pyo, a member of the People Power Party, directly criticized Kim Jong-in, the general election campaign committee chairman, for his remark that "those who participated in the primary election are all showing a bystander attitude," saying, "He is presumptuous. He is blaming others for his own irresponsibility and incompetence."
On the 31st, Hong stated on his online platform "Youth's Dream" in response to a post asking, "Kim said Hong has a bystander attitude; please give a sharp rebuke," saying, "He is presumptuous. He is already participating in the campaign committee."
He left consecutive comments on the post, saying, "Is he telling me to come under him even though our policies and directions differ? This is beyond presumptuous. I avoided that and went to the Daegu campaign committee in my constituency," adding, "If I stayed at the central committee, opinions would clash daily over the direction, so how would that help the presidential election? Instead of already looking for excuses in case of defeat, I hope he properly fulfills his role."

In response to a post saying, "It's the first time I've seen Jun-pyo hyung leave a comment in informal speech. He must have been so angry to call him presumptuous in that tone," he replied, "Of course, I'm angry because he is shifting responsibility."
Regarding a post claiming "The mammoth intelligence seems to have a problem" and calling for a reorganization of the campaign committee, Hong emphasized, "The campaign committee should be disbanded and slimly reorganized, and all members of the National Assembly and party district committee heads should be demoted." To a post asking, "How long will you continue to watch the fire across the river?" he responded, "I have no confidence in shielding my in-laws' corruption."
