Boseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center Wins Excellence Award in Rural Development Project Comprehensive Evaluation
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Cheol-woo) announced on the 31st that it received the 'Excellence Award in Comprehensive Evaluation of Rural Development Projects' at the Jeollanam-do Rural Development Project Comprehensive Report Meeting, receiving a plaque, a prize money of 3 million won, and a project fund of 10 million won.
The 'Comprehensive Evaluation of Rural Development Projects,' hosted by the Jeonnam Agricultural Research and Extension Services, was selected by comprehensively analyzing and evaluating 13 evaluation indicators targeting centers in 21 cities and counties in Jeollanam-do.
The Boseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center actively promoted various projects throughout the year with the goal of 'Rural Development Projects Ahead in Response to Agricultural Environment,' including fostering youth and professional farmers, practicing carbon reduction and labor-saving cultivation, expanding technologies for climate change response and stable production of regionally specialized crops, receiving favorable evaluations.
Additionally, it fostered agricultural organizations such as grape and Korean beef farmer groups, supported successful farming settlement of youth and returnees to farming, developed the agricultural product processing center brand 'Jayeonmat Boseong,' and carried out various projects such as cultivating new income subtropical crops and disease-free seed potato complexes.
