Open Democratic Party Approves Merger with Democratic Party... 72.54% in Favor
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] The Open Democratic Party decided on the 30th to merge with the Democratic Party of Korea after a vote by all party members.
The Open Democratic Party announced that the party-to-party merger proposal with the Democratic Party was approved with 6,229 votes (72.54%) in favor and 2,358 votes (27.46%) against, following a vote conducted through the National Election Commission's online voting system from 9 a.m. on the 29th until 6 p.m. on the same day.
A total of 8,587 out of 9,587 eligible voters participated in this all-member vote, recording a turnout rate of 89.57%.

The Open Democratic Party plans to ratify the proposal at the Supreme Council meeting on the 3rd of next month. The Democratic Party also intends to complete the merger by mid-next month after going through internal procedures.
