[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 20s suspected of assaulting someone by throwing a glass cup while drinking with an acquaintance was arrested by the police.
The Gwanak Police Station in Seoul announced on the 30th that they have arrested Mr. A, a man in his 20s, on charges of special assault and obstruction of official duties, and are currently investigating him.
According to the police, Mr. A is accused of assaulting a female acquaintance by throwing a glass cup onto the floor while drinking at a one-room apartment in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, around 2:30 a.m. that day.
It was reported that Mr. A resisted the police officers who arrived at the scene and caused a disturbance before being subdued with a taser and arrested.
