Hana Bank Selected as 'Electronic Signature Certification Service Provider'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] Hana Bank announced on the 30th that it has been selected as an electronic signature certification operator under the Electronic Signature Act by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA).
An electronic signature certification operator is a qualification granted only to institutions recognized for the stability and reliability of their electronic signature certification services through the electronic signature certification evaluation and accreditation system operated by the Ministry of Science and ICT and KISA. It is an essential requirement for participating in public sector electronic signature projects and MyData integrated authentication.
To be selected as an electronic signature certification operator, Hana Bank appointed the Financial Security Institute as the evaluation agency in the second half of this year and was recognized for service stability and security that meet the operational standards of electronic signature certification through written and on-site evaluations of over 180 items.

A Hana Bank electronic signature certification TFT official said, "This selection as an electronic signature certification operator objectively recognizes Hana Bank's high level of security and technological capabilities," adding, "We will prepare so that customers can conveniently and safely use Hana Bank's differentiated authentication services both online and offline in the future."
