[New Year's Address] Korea Credit Information Services President Shin Hyunjun: "Do Not Become Complacent with Achievements, Move Forward with the 'Mabujeongje' Spirit"
[Asia Economy, reporter Song Seungseop] "With the mindset of 'Mabujeongje,' we must not become complacent with our past achievements. Instead, we should solidify the foundation of the projects we have promoted and seize new opportunities to move forward."
On December 30, Shin Hyunjun, President of Korea Credit Information Services, outlined the organization’s business direction for the new year in his New Year's address. "Mabujeongje" is a four-character idiom meaning that a running horse does not stop to fix its horseshoes.
The five key directions announced by President Shin were: ▲ fulfilling the role as a core financial data infrastructure and platform ▲ serving as a pivotal player in data governance and ecosystems ▲ advancing the concentration and management functions of credit information ▲ effectively supporting new financial supply systems ▲ and strengthening information protection and security.
President Shin stated, "We will firmly and intelligently fulfill our role as a core data infrastructure and platform in the financial sector," and added, "We will take on a central role in establishing and operating rational data governance, as well as in creating a sustainable, virtuous data ecosystem."
He continued, "We must also enhance both the quantitative and qualitative advancement of credit information concentration and management functions, as well as strengthen the practical protection of data subjects' rights." He suggested, "It is necessary to effectively support new financial supply systems for future-oriented and innovative companies, thereby promoting the growth of technology-driven businesses and industries."
He further emphasized, "To counter increasingly sophisticated information protection and security threats, we must also establish a thorough information protection and security system."
