[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Uisikju Company (CEO Jo Seong-woo) announced that the volume of water laundry orders on the non-face-to-face mobile laundry service 'Laundrigo' increased by 150% last weekend compared to the previous three months due to the recent cold wave.
Over the two days last weekend, Laundrigo processed nearly 20 tons of orders, recording an increase rate of over 300% compared to the 6 tons of water laundry orders, which was the highest during the cold wave a year ago. The company explained that since the beginning of this month, on days when the temperature drops below minus 5 degrees Celsius, the volume of water laundry orders has been rising by more than 20% compared to the previous day.

The total number of laundry orders, including dress shirts and dry cleaning, also increased significantly by about 150% compared to usual. This year, Laundrigo has been growing by handling 2 million individual cleaning items and 6 million liters of daily laundry.
