The donation was raised through a double matching grant method, where HanmiGlobal employees donated 1% of their annual salary this year, and the company supported an amount twice that.
Founded in 2010, the social welfare corporation Ddaddeuthan Donghaeng has been carrying out support projects for people with disabilities, including spatial welfare that transforms living spaces for the disabled, customized advanced assistive device support, job creation for the independence of people with disabilities, as well as support projects for Korean War veterans and North Korean defector youth. HanmiGlobal has donated approximately 12.1 billion KRW over 12 years to support Ddaddeuthan Donghaeng's projects.
At the donation ceremony, Lee Sang-ho, President of HanmiGlobal, said, “With the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, marginalized groups such as people with disabilities in local communities are likely experiencing even more difficult times. HanmiGlobal will continue to support projects that create a warm world without disabilities.”
