View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Doosan Corporation announced on the 28th that it conducted the "Ssedamgeotgi" campaign, which means picking up trash while walking, and donated 20 million won.
This campaign involves walking short distances on foot while cleaning the surroundings. Doosan employees participated in the campaign by taking walks with their families around their neighborhoods on weekends. During the campaign period, the total accumulated walking distance was 661.1 km, and the total amount of collected trash was 354.7 kg, consisting of 7,967 individual pieces.
The carbon dioxide reduction effect achieved corresponds to the amount absorbed by 52.7 thirty-year-old pine trees over one year. The most collected trash was cigarette butts, accounting for 47%, followed by paper (15%), vinyl (13%), and PET/plastic bottles (12%).
