Dongmyung University and Dong-Eui University Joint Team Wins Grand Prize at Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Social Venture Idea Contest

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, trainee reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Onure team, a startup club from the Department of Visual Design at Dongmyung University, formed a joint team with students from Dong-Eui University and won the grand prize and a 3 million KRW cash award at the ‘2021 Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) Energy Social Venture Idea Contest’.
The joint team participated in the contest with the idea of an ‘Eco-friendly Deicing Agent Using Nighttime Busan Byproducts’.
The Dongmyung University ESS Service team received the excellence award for their ‘Electric Vehicle Power Supply Service Using ESS (Energy Storage System)’.
Student Jeong Hwijin said, “I am happy to have won a major prize in my first contest collaborating with teams from other universities, and I want to work more with students from other universities and different departments.”
The KHNP Energy Social Venture Idea Contest is a competition for ideas related to recycling and renewable energy that can be commercialized across all fields of energy production, distribution, consumption, storage, and usage.
The contest awarded 3 million KRW to one grand prize team, 2 million KRW to one top prize team, and 1 million KRW each to three excellence award teams.
