Imsil-gun Health and Medical Center Completes 'Green Remodeling Project'
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, has completed the establishment of a clean green energy system targeting the public health center.
The county announced on the 24th that it has completed the '2021 Public Building Green Remodeling Project' for the county public health center as part of the government's New Deal project to overcome the economic crisis and prepare for the post-COVID-19 era.
The Public Building Green Remodeling Project, led by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, targets aging public buildings (public medical facilities, public daycare centers) that have been completed for more than 10 years.
This project improves energy performance and living environment through green remodeling such as installing renewable energy, replacing high-efficiency insulation materials and windows.
In April, the county conducted a preliminary survey and consulting for the project promotion, and through preliminary consulting in June, 'Imsil-gun Public Health Center' was finally selected.
The project was promoted with a total budget of 180 million KRW, including 136.8 million KRW from national and provincial funds and 43.2 million KRW from county funds.
The project started in October last year, and this month, a 50kW scale parking lot-type solar power generation facility was installed.
By installing solar power generation facilities in aging public buildings with high energy consumption, a clean green energy system was established to reduce public utility costs and improve energy performance.
Last year, the county secured 1.6 billion KRW in project funds for 10 health branch offices and clinics and promoted the green remodeling project.
Through the installation of high-performance windows, reinforcement of internal and external insulation, installation of high-efficiency heating and cooling systems and LED lighting, and solar power generation facilities, energy performance and facility environment have been improved, showing high satisfaction among residents using the facilities.
The county plans to continue its best efforts to improve the quality of medical environments so that residents do not experience inconvenience when using multi-use facilities.
County Governor Shim Min said, “We will continuously seek various projects that can improve the performance of public buildings or facilities and create a pleasant environment,” and added, “We will do our best to increase residents' satisfaction with facility use.”
