According to Chonnam National University on the 24th, the College of Veterinary Medicine (Dean Seo Guk-hyun) and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Dean Kang Man-jong) signed a business agreement on the 21st with the Primate Resources Center (Director Kim Ji-soo) of the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology. The agreement includes mutual exchange of research personnel and joint use of resources and equipment necessary for primate research.
Through this agreement, these institutions will establish a complementary operational system through academic and research collaboration, engage in systematic research on primates in Korea, jointly utilize related research facilities and equipment, mutually exchange research personnel, and jointly discover and carry out research projects.
They also plan to establish a foundation for research using primates and contribute to the advancement of domestic biomedical science and technology and the improvement of public health through preclinical research cooperation in brain science, new drug development, and regenerative medicine.
