Muan-gun Selected as a Family-Friendly Institution by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family for 8 Consecutive Years
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] On the 23rd, Jeonnam Muan-gun announced that it recently passed the recertification audit for family-friendly certification institutions, conducted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and audited by the Korea Management Certification Institute, and was re-certified as a family-friendly institution.
The family-friendly certification system is a program in which the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family grants certification to companies or public institutions that have exemplary family-friendly systems, supporting workers' work-life balance and contributing to enhancing national competitiveness through an evaluation process.
Muan-gun has continuously maintained its certification status through validity period extensions since its initial certification in 2016, and with this recertification, it will serve as a family-friendly certified institution until November 30, 2024.
So far, the county has been continuously implementing policies such as leaving work on time every Wednesday and Friday, designated as Family Love Days, introducing long-term service leave, supporting convenience items for childbirth for pregnant women, installing parking spaces for pregnant women, and supporting various clubs. Starting this year, it also operates empathy trips with children.
County Governor Kim San said, “We are operating various policies to create a family-friendly workplace atmosphere and to help county office employees balance work and family life,” adding, “We will do our best to spread a culture of family love not only within the county office but throughout the entire region.”
