View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Hyundai Glovis announced on the 23rd that it delivered Christmas gifts to elderly people living alone and children in need of social care in the local community to celebrate the end of the year.
Hyundai Glovis, which has been conducting sharing activities every year to bring warmth to the local community, delivered sponsorship items to 500 neighbors in Seoul and Ulsan, where its business sites are located, through a non-face-to-face method this year.
They gifted ‘silver cars’ to 100 elderly people living alone in the Ulsan area. A silver car is a walking aid device that helps elderly people who have difficulty walking due to knee or back diseases or who are exposed to risks such as falls and traffic accidents.
To 400 children at a community children’s center in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, they presented mini trees and school supply sets including notebooks, pencil cases, and pencils for the new semester. About 20 Hyundai Glovis employees made the mini trees themselves at home.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Hyundai Glovis has been conducting community-based volunteer activities in a non-face-to-face manner. In addition to transporting over 1,800 tons of emergency relief supplies free of charge to overcome the COVID-19 crisis, they also produced and delivered coloring books, companion plants, and food kits to help the mental and physical health of elderly people living alone.
