At the event, Park Hong-wook, Head of Power Service BG at Doosan Heavy Industries, and Son Jeong-rak, Energy Industry MD of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's R&D Strategic Planning Group, attended to share the successful performance test results of the S1 model, the first large gas turbine developed in Korea, and selected university research labs that contributed to the development and awarded plaques.
The research team led by Professor Hong Hyun-wook of Changwon National University, selected this time, successfully completed a total of eight Doosan Heavy Industries industry-academia commissioned projects over the past three years. In particular, they contributed significantly to the analysis and property improvement of 3D printed core parts for gas turbines, earning certification as a technology cooperation university research lab.
