Dongshin University Department of Counseling Psychology Hosts '2021 Counseling Day'

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Department of Counseling Psychology at Dongshin University (Department Head Professor Park Eun-min) announced on the 22nd that it held the '2021 Counseling Day' under the theme 'Community Changes and Counseling in the With-Corona Era.'
The event was conducted both in-person and online, with participation from all 165 enrolled students in the Counseling Psychology Department and 9 prospective freshmen.
Presentations were made on the department's specialized projects, including first-year co-growth mentoring, second-year field visits to counseling institutions led by employment seniors, third-year psychological support public servant training classes, and fourth-year community-linked counseling activities, as well as achievements from creative clubs spanning first to fourth years.
In the subsequent 'Special Lecture by Community Field Experts,' a professional counselor from Jeonnam Foreign Language High School, a public official from the Hwasun County Fire Administration Department, and a team leader from the Jangseong County Out-of-School Youth Support Center?all graduates of Dongshin University's Counseling Psychology Department?gave lectures on practical field cases.
After the event, professors and enrolled students had a meeting time with prospective freshmen who were accepted in this year's early admission.
Professor Park Eun-min, head of the Counseling Psychology Department, said, "Despite the COVID-19 situation, it was a meaningful year as we were able to carry out specialized programs linked with counseling sites and the local community," adding, "We will support various educational programs to enhance the practical skills of our enrolled students."
