Honam University Club 'Odogada' Publishes Global Health Education Picture Book

View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] Honam University (President Park Sang-chul) announced on the 22nd that on the 21st, a publication ceremony was held for the global health education picture book "Departing," jointly produced by the Nursing Department club 'ODAgada' and Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju (Chief Kim Sam-ho).
The picture book "Departing" tells the story of a young person growing into a global citizen who is honest about their own emotions and respects the emotions of others, with a focus on mental health during the infectious disease pandemic.
At the publication ceremony, there was an introduction to the picture book, including the activities of Honam University club ODAgada (advising professor Jang Yoon-kyung), the background of the picture book production, and a video interview with the picture book artist Jo Ah-reum who participated as an illustrator, followed by a workshop demonstration using the picture book planned by the students.
The "Global Citizenship Education Project," a cooperative project between Honam University and Gwangsan-gu that has been ongoing since 2016, operates various activities to cultivate and practice global citizenship among university students, producing global health education picture books and continuing diverse activities.
Kim Sung-eun (2nd year, Nursing Department), who participated in the picture book production and activities, expressed, "While preparing and conducting the publication ceremony for the fourth picture book, I am grateful to the club members who worked closely together and to many who helped us. I hope that the global health education picture book we created will be widely used in various fields in the future."
