Thief with Long Hair Wearing a Miniskirt... Caught Urinating in Public as a 'Cross-Dressing Man'
[Asia Economy Reporter Na Ye-eun] A man in his 50s who disguised himself as a woman to confuse the police investigation and committed theft has been arrested.
The Pocheon Police Station in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 21st that Mr. A was detained on charges of theft.
Mr. A is accused of breaking the windows of parked passenger cars twice around 4:33 a.m. on the 6th of last month in a public parking lot in Pocheon City and stealing 100,000 won in cash and a pouch from inside the vehicles.
The police began the investigation following a report from the vehicle owner and analyzed closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to track the escape route.
At the time, the police assumed Mr. A was a woman because he was wearing a miniskirt and a long-haired wig.
However, during the pursuit, it was confirmed that Mr. A was a man disguised as a woman. CCTV footage captured Mr. A urinating on the street, with his underwear not worn and his skirt lifted, exposing his private parts.
Based on this, the police tracked and arrested Mr. A on the 17th in the Jeongseon area of Gangwon Province.
During the police investigation, Mr. A stated, "I dressed as a woman to confuse the investigation." It is reported that Mr. A has a prior record of similar offenses.

A police official said, "It appears the crime was committed to cover living expenses," and added, "The related investigation has been completed, and he will be sent to the prosecution soon."
