[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 21st that Mayor Cho Gyu-il visited the 'Gyeongsang National University~Naedong Road Expansion Construction' site to encourage construction personnel and check the progress.
Jinju City has invested a total project cost of 28.6 billion KRW to complete administrative procedures and detailed design since September 2018 for the 3.1 km section between the South Gate Bridge of Gyeongsang National University and Naedong Intersection. Construction began in November last year, and the plan is to complete the expansion to a 4-lane road by December next year.
The city plans to partially open the section from the South Gate Bridge of Gyeongsang National University to Daedong Village Hall in line with the completion of the Gajwa 3 Bridge over Gajwa Stream by the end of December.

Mayor Cho Gyu-il said, “Since detour roads must be operated section by section during the construction period, we will do our best to establish traffic measures to prevent inconvenience to drivers and pedestrians, and also pay close attention to the safety management of on-site workers during the winter season.”
