Namwon-si to Hold 'Hanbok Theme Garden Exhibition' Starting from the 22nd

[Namwon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jeong Young-kwon] Namwon City, Jeonbuk (Mayor Lee Hwan-joo) announced on the 21st that from the 22nd until January 16th of next year, it will hold the 'Hanbok Theme Garden' exhibition at Namwon Yeruwon as part of the Hanbok Culture Regional Hub event.

This exhibition is held under the theme "Questioning the Boundary Relationship between Hanbok, Hanji, and Hanok," and admission is free.

The exhibition is the final event linked to the successful "2021 Hanbok Culture Autumn Week" held in October around Gwanghallu Garden, planned to promote the beauty of our traditional clothing, Hanbok, as new works.

A total of four artists?Sobin, Na Yesim, Song Jin-ah, and Lee Jae-hwa?participated, expressing Hanbok through various themes.

In particular, this exhibition planning gains significance as Sobin, a representative Hanji craft artist from Namwon, participates.

Sobin’s doll works made of Hanji are characterized by expressing the relativity of various spatiotemporal boundaries of Hanbok within the Hanok of Yeruwon.

Works by Na Yesim, who breathes new life into Hanbok and space through dyed fabric and sewing, also stand out.

This exhibition reconstructs the boundaries of life using Hanji, which is said to last a thousand years, and fabric.

A lovely children's Hanbok exhibition space where children can enjoy is also prepared, and in the Yeruwon yard, a large tree and winter night scenery are displayed, offering various attractions for citizens.

Meanwhile, along with this exhibition, various exhibitions related to the 2021 Hanbok Culture Regional Hub can be seen at the Namwon Daum Hall (special exhibition "Memory of Fabric, Build; Da2") and the Namwon City Kim Byung-jong Art Museum (exhibition "Embracing Color by Shin Yong-gu. Connect. Dream.").
