Utilizing Augmented Reality Technology... Virtual Furniture Placement in Real Spaces
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Shinsegae Casa announced on the 21st that it has launched an 'AR service' that allows virtual placement of furniture in real spaces using augmented reality (AR) technology.
This AR service is a digital experiential program following the 'VR 3D Interior Service' introduced last September, and is available on Shinsegae Casa's Good.com application.
The service enables virtual placement and experience of furniture in various real locations, from living rooms and master bedrooms to offices. When a desired product is selected and the camera is pointed at the space where the furniture is to be placed, the product is adjusted to the actual scale. Users can check the arrangement and size of the furniture in the space, and self-interior design is possible by combining multiple products.
It features over 700 Casamia furniture and accessories realistically rendered in 3D modeling to enhance product understanding. Additionally, users can rotate the screen showing the placed products 360 degrees and control lighting, allowing them to feel the texture and atmosphere as if seeing the items in person. The placed products can be purchased immediately. To commemorate the launch of the AR service, Shinsegae Casa is holding a 'Good Change' Instagram event until the 31st of this month.
