Gochang-gun Builds Sports Facility Infrastructure Including Sangha Sports Theme Park

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Gochang-gun, Jeonbuk, is soaring as the undisputed top sports city by establishing various sports facility infrastructures.

According to the Gochang-gun Sports and Youth Business Office on the 21st, various sports facilities have been prepared in the area, receiving great responses from residents for leisure use and more.

The ‘Sangha Sports Theme Park,’ which invested over 3.4 billion KRW, was completed last year and is contributing to the health improvement of Sangha residents and providing opportunities for leisure activities.

Also, the ‘Living Soccer Stadium Facility Improvement Project’ installed artificial turf, lighting, and spectator seats in the soccer field, promoting convenience for users and expecting qualitative improvement in sports activities.

The ‘Gochang General Industrial Complex Complex Cultural Sports Center’ is also planned to include a gymnasium, library, bathhouse, and job center with an investment of over 10 billion KRW.

Once the project is completed, it is expected to have a great effect on improving leisure spaces for nearby residents and living conditions for employees residing in the industrial complex.

The ‘Training Camp Training Center’ is also contributing to providing a systematic training place for training camps and revitalizing the local economy.

The ‘Artificial Rock Wall Construction Project’ invested 2 billion KRW to build a two-story facility for indoor and outdoor climbing, providing family-oriented experiential leisure sports and is expected to help activate leisure sports tourism.

In addition, the county is currently carrying out major projects totaling over 33.4 billion KRW, including the ‘Living Sports Facilities (Badminton, Table Tennis) Dedicated Court Construction Project,’ ‘Jokgu Field Construction Project,’ ‘Gochang Sports Town Construction Project,’ ‘Public Stadium Parking Lot Construction Project,’ and ‘Public Sports Facility Function Enhancement Project.’
