[Asia Economy Reporter Seoyoung Kwon] Former Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae once again criticized People Power Party presidential candidate Yoon Seok-yeol and his wife Kim Geon-hee over their verbal slip controversies and allegations of lobbying in the gaming industry.
On the 18th, former Minister Choo posted on her Facebook titled "The problem is the 'black connection'." She stated, "Simplifying Kim's words and actions, which appeared on YTN and OhmyNews, as mere slips of the tongue, happenings, or controversies treats women as if they cannot make political judgments and dismisses Kim," adding, "On the contrary, Kim spoke with a clear purpose and intention under political judgment."
This is interpreted as targeting remarks reportedly made by Kim in an interview. On the 15th, Kim Eui-gyeom, a member of the Open Democratic Party, claimed that Kim told a reporter, "Then call me oppa. Treat me like a younger sister," and "If you go to the Blue House, I will invite you first." Former Minister Choo explained that these remarks by Kim "revealed an attitude of coaxing, soothing, and intimidating, showing confidence that Blue House power is becoming a reality."
Former Minister Choo then mentioned the allegations of lobbying in the gaming industry involving Kim, emphasizing, "There is a possibility of suspicion that money and lobbying went beyond private relationships, connections, and personal life." She also added, "If Kim, who said she worked hard herself, lived diligently under the curtain of the black connection that contradicts fairness, common sense, and the rule of law promised by her husband candidate Yoon to the people, then thorough verification must be conducted."

Former Minister Choo wrote, "It is contradictory why candidate Yoon, who has treated it as someone else's matter before marriage, is now issuing a proxy apology," and "The public did not demand a 'forced apology.'" She stated, "I am not interested in a 'planned apology' made with vote-consciousness," urging, "Only an investigation without sanctuary into the persistent suspicions should be conducted."
