Woori Financial Group Holds Completion Ceremony for Digital New Technology Training Program

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-ho Kim] Woori Financial Group announced on the 17th that it held a graduation ceremony for the 'Woori Digital Academy,' a digital new technology training course to nurture the group's digital professionals, at Soongsil University in Dongjak-gu, Seoul.
The event was held both online and offline. Key executives, including Lee Won-duk, Senior Vice President of Woori Financial Group, and Jang Beom-sik, President of Soongsil University, attended together.
This training course is part of the 'Strategic Business Agreement for Nurturing Digital Professionals' signed between Woori Financial Group and Soongsil University in June. It was conducted over a total of 15 weeks from September, following a customized curriculum covering digital new technologies and overall digital topics.
Additionally, 181 employees from eight group companies, including Woori Financial Holdings, Woori Bank, and Woori Card, participated in the training. The program consisted of seven courses, including basic and advanced courses on digital new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data, as well as digital planning and app development.
In particular, the training was conducted in a practical, hands-on manner focused on team projects. On the day of the graduation ceremony, there was also a session where outstanding projects from each course were presented to the heads of the group's digital departments.
