The event was hosted by the Appropriate Management Committee and the Appropriate Management Office to share QI activities of outstanding departments and to promote continuous QI activities.
Twenty-two teams submitted result reports and posters for the competition, and after evaluation, six teams advanced to the finals and gave oral presentations.
The oral presentations were judged based on five criteria: ▲appropriateness of task selection ▲validity of improvement plan ▲excellence and effectiveness of implementation process ▲report writing and submission ▲organization of materials and presentation attitude.
The Grand Prize was awarded to the Special Nursing Team and Central Supply Room for the topic ‘Reducing consumption through inventory management of non-billed medical consumables.’
The Asset Management Operations Team received the Excellence Award for the topic ‘Reducing medical device maintenance costs through activation of self-preventive inspection activities.’
Before the awards, departments with excellent patient safety LEVEL 0 reports from January to November were also recognized at the event. The Operating Room was selected as the top improvement department.

Through preliminary screening, the Grand Prize-winning ward nursing team in the internal medicine department’s topic ‘Reducing fall incidence through education and implementation on high-risk fall factors,’ as well as the Pharmacy Team, Outpatient Nursing Team, and Surgery Department among the award-winning and oral presentation departments, were exhibited.
