Ulju-gun Introduces QR Code Notification System for Automobile Tax
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Intern Reporter Lee Seryeong] Ulsan City Ulju-gun introduced a ‘QR Code Guidance System’ on the second installment of the December automobile tax payment notices, imposing and notifying 9.2 billion KRW on about 56,000 cases.
The QR Code Guidance System on the tax payment notice is a service that allows taxpayers to receive local tax information such as automobile tax by scanning the QR code printed on the notice using a mobile app.
When the code is scanned, it connects to the electronic payment services like Witax and Giro internet sites, providing convenience for taxpayers, and with a single tap, it links to the county website where users can access county administration promotional content.
The county plans to expand the system to tax payment notices for all tax categories and intends to broaden the service for local tax guidance and county administration promotion.
