The chairperson was former Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae, who had shown strong chemistry with candidate Lee during the previous primary under the 'Myungchu Coalition.' Whenever rival candidates launched 'anti-Lee Jae-myung' attacks, former Minister Choo came to support Lee. In this Social Transformation Committee, she plans to combine Lee’s 'basic income' policy with her own advocated 'rent reform' to discover various reform agendas and suggest directions for policy development.
At the launch ceremony, candidate Lee said, "I fully agree with former Minister Choo’s rent reform," adding, "I hope that through rent reform, society will transform into one where those who work and contribute are respected."
Former Minister Choo stated, "Rather than focusing on specific policies, I will play a role in presenting the overall direction and making it easy for the public to understand."
The Social Transformation Committee plans to achieve transformative growth by focusing on key agendas such as rent reform to resolve unfairness and polarization, ▲ 'digital transformation' for a digital innovation powerhouse, ▲ 'climate justice' for a sustainable future, and ▲ 'educational innovation' to nurture future talents.

These include Park Seung-kwon, an occupational and environmental medicine specialist (37); Lee Sun-woo, CEO of green tech technology company (50); Hwang Seo-yoon, CEO of the preliminary social enterprise Park PD and Hwang Actor Co., Ltd. (39); Jung Ye-ram, a high school student (19); and Park Sung-ho, an emergency room nurse (28). Each candidate is notable for personal stories such as being a teenage part-timer, disability assessment, and cancer battle. Baek Hye-ryun, head of the National Talent Committee, said, "They are great citizens who have practiced positive influence in our society from their respective positions," adding, "We will continue to find hidden talents who have cultivated hope in everyday life through public recommendations."
On the People Power Party side, former lawmaker Yoon Young-il from Honam joined the New Era Preparation Committee on the same day. Former Auditor General Yoon was elected as a member of the 20th National Assembly representing Haenam, Wando, and Jindo in Jeonnam Province under the People’s Party and later served as a Supreme Council member of the Minsaeng Party. Following the recruitment of independent lawmaker Lee Yong-ho, whose constituency is in Imsil, Sunchang, and Namwon in Jeonbuk Province, to the New Era Preparation Committee aimed at moderate and post-progressive voters, the People Power Party is actively targeting the Honam electorate by embracing former lawmaker Yoon as well.
