Emergency reduction measures will also be enforced at workplaces and construction sites operated by private, administrative, and public institutions in the three metropolitan cities and provinces. Public facilities such as waste incineration plants and sewage treatment plants will implement emission reduction measures, while construction sites must take dust suppression actions such as changing or adjusting construction hours, operating water spraying vehicles, and covering with dustproof tarps. Operation of Grade 5 vehicles will also be restricted.
Meanwhile, fine dust levels in the metropolitan area, Gangwon, Chungcheong, Gwangju, Jeonbuk, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk are expected to be ‘Bad’ tomorrow. In particular, the metropolitan and Chungcheong areas are forecasted to experience ‘Very Bad’ levels temporarily in the morning.
