New President of the Women Entrepreneurs Association: Lee Jeong-han, CEO of BY Industry
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Lee Jeonghan, CEO of BY Industry, has been appointed as the 10th president of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association.
The association announced on the 15th that at the national general meeting held on the 14th, the proposal to appoint the current senior vice president Lee Jeonghan as the 10th president of the association was passed. The newly appointed president will lead the association for three years starting from January 1st next year.
The new president is the CEO of BY Industry, specializing in the distribution and processing of metal sheets. He joined the association in 2003 and served as the head of the Gyeonggi branch of the association for three years starting in 2010.
The new president stated, "We plan to increase membership by expanding services for women-owned businesses," and added, "We will do our best to solidify our status as a trusted statutory economic organization."

The Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association is a statutory organization established in 1999 based on the Act on Support for Women-Owned Businesses. It carries out various projects to promote the interests of women entrepreneurs and support women-owned business activities, including fostering startups, expanding sales channels, and supporting job creation. It operates the 'Women Entrepreneurs Comprehensive Support Center' and the 'Women Economy Research Institute' under its umbrella.
