According to the county on the 15th, this invitation meeting was arranged by County Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan to invite former governors to listen to their opinions on current county administration issues and discuss development plans.
Former governors Min Hwa-sik, Park Jae-hyun, Kim Chung-sik, and Park Cheol-hwan attended and had a conversation about local issues, then toured major facilities of the new government building together.
Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan explained the progress of large-scale projects recently decided to be hosted in Haenam, such as the National Agricultural Food Climate Change Response Center, the European Village Theme Park, and the Carbon Neutral Edu Center, while exchanging opinions on the key strategies for next year’s county administration.
The former governors also conveyed suggestions for improving residents’ safety and quality of life, including expanding park golf courses for public health, enhanced one-stop civil complaint processing, parking enforcement for pedestrian safety, and compensation for unused land, expressing their intention to actively cooperate with the county administration.
Governor Myeong Hyeon-gwan said, “Thanks to the former governors who laid a solid foundation, Haenam-gun exists as it is today,” and added, “I ask you to continue watching over Haenam-gun’s development and to provide much interest and development plans.”
