Hwasun-gun Selected as an 'Excellent Institution' in the Watershed Management Fund Resident Support Project Evaluation
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 15th that it was selected as an excellent institution in the watershed management fund resident support project evaluation.
The county was selected as an excellent institution in the resident support project category of the Yeongsangang and Seomjingang watershed management fund project performance evaluation conducted by the Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office, and received a prize of 1 million won.
The performance evaluation was conducted targeting 22 local governments in the Yeongsangang and Seomjingang basins to improve transparency in fund operation and efficiency in project promotion for resident support projects.
In this evaluation, the county received high scores in items such as appropriateness of project plan establishment, budget execution efficiency, project management status, and achievement of performance.
The county secured the largest project cost of 1 billion won in the fund after the carbon-neutral eco-friendly joint nursery installation project in Iseo-myeon was selected for next year's special support project contest, and also achieved good results in the watershed management fund performance evaluation.
A county official said, “We will continuously develop the resident support project in the water source management area to contribute to residents' welfare and income increase, and strive to promote the project for the preservation of clean water quality environment.”
