President Moon Meets Albanese, Australian Opposition Leader
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] President Moon Jae-in, who is on a state visit to Australia, met with Anthony Norman Albanese, leader of the Labor Party, in Sydney on the 14th.
Leader Albanese is a nine-term member of the Australian Federal House of Representatives and has served as the leader of the opposition Labor Party since May 2019.
President Moon, marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations, expressed hope to further strengthen cooperation in various fields such as future advanced industries by upgrading the bilateral relationship to a "comprehensive strategic partnership," and requested the interest and support of Leader Albanese and the Labor Party for the settlement of our compatriots in Australia.
