SY Donates 30 Million Won to Asan City... "Improving Elderly Housing Conditions"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Comprehensive building materials company SY announced on the 14th that it donated 30 million KRW to Asan City to promote the improvement of housing conditions for low-income elderly living alone.
SY visited Asan City on the morning of the 13th through the SY Happiness Sharing Foundation operated by the group and held a donation ceremony.
The entire donation amount of 30 million KRW delivered that day will be used for the "Elderly-Friendly Housing Environment Improvement Project" promoted by Asan City since 2022, after going through the designated deposit application procedure of the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea.
This improvement project originated from the purpose of preventing fall accidents among low-income elderly living alone in the local community and supporting the smooth execution of daily life. Through the project, public convenience facilities such as restrooms in the community, as well as safety handrails, non-slip flooring, lighting, and door locks will be installed in each household of elderly living alone.
A representative of the SY Happiness Sharing Foundation said, "We hope this donation will be of some help in improving the housing environment for vulnerable groups in the community," and added, "We will continue to practice sharing where it is truly needed to become the foundation of hope for moving toward a happy society."
Oh Se-hyun, Mayor of Asan City, said, "We deeply thank SY Group for helping to create a safe housing environment for our neighbors," and added, "We will continue to do our best to promote community welfare through continuous public-private cooperation."
Meanwhile, SY is the No. 1 sandwich panel manufacturer in Korea and operates the largest sandwich panel, color steel sheet, urethane insulation material, and modular housing production cluster in Asia at the Inju Industrial Complex in Asan City.
