Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Holds On-site Briefing on Marine Plastic Resource Circulation Project for Port Committee Members
On-site Briefing for Strengthening Expertise of the Port Committee and Realizing Field Management
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Corporation (President Cha Min-sik) announced on the 13th that it held an on-site briefing session on the marine plastic resource circulation project for the Port Committee (Chairman Kim Hyun-duk).
The port committee members visited the marine plastic resource circulation project exhibition hall installed on the first floor of the headquarters building, where they received explanations about the collection, processing, and treatment of marine plastics within Yeosu Gwangyang Port, as well as the recycled products, followed by a Q&A session with the project managers.
The main questions focused on the organic collaboration with private companies during the process of producing plastic into raw materials, and there was significant interest in the recycled products to be manufactured in the future.
Kim Hyun-duk, chairman of the port committee who attended the briefing, said, “It was an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the projects the corporation has been promoting to preserve the marine ecosystem,” adding, “We will focus on management proposals and supervisory activities that are closely connected with the field.”
