Kumho Tire Sponsors 'Christmas Santa Expedition' for Underprivileged Children
Considering the COVID-19 Situation, Non-Face-to-Face Sponsorship
Supporting 'Hope Study Rooms' for Children from Difficult Families
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Kumho Tire announced on the 13th that it will support the 'Christmas Santa Expedition' to distribute gifts to underprivileged children in celebration of the year-end.
This activity, which has continued for five years, was conducted by employees writing cards, wrapping gifts, and delivering them directly to the target children. However, last year and this year, it has been carried out in a non-face-to-face manner to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Kumho Tire recently donated funds through the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation. With this sponsorship, they plan to deliver Christmas gifts that each child wishes for to children at the Salvation Army Seoul Welfare Center in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, and support a snack party.
In addition, Kumho Tire also announced the completion of the 26th branch of the 'Together GREEN Hope Study Room.' For the beneficiary child living in a difficult environment with older sisters in a single-parent family, Kumho Tire sponsored daily necessities including a bunk bed, laptop, and desk set, and furnished the study room.
Kang Jin-gu, Head of Management Support Team at Kumho Tire, said, "The Santa Expedition activity is an event where Kumho Tire employees personally share warmth with children in welfare blind spots every year-end, so we carry it out with affection internally."
